Sarah grew up in the lovely North West of England and much of her heart is still there despite living and working in Essex for two years before starting work with UCCF!

She went to the University of Central Lancashire in Preston to study Law with Business Information Systems, where she first realised what it meant to live as a Christian. She had heard the gospel at a school Christian Union, but had no real idea how the truth of the gospel affected her life on a daily basis. Uni was a very influential time for Sarah as she had her first experience of evangelism and became passionate about the amazing opportunities there are for students to reach other students at University.

Studying law made Sarah very sure that she didn't want to become a solicitor which had been her original plan, and decided to do Relay with UCCF after graduating, moving close to home to the lovely city of Lancaster. She spent a great ten months working with the students at the two Universities in the city and had started to think about careers in HR. This was not to be and Sarah found herself working at a church in Southend-on-Sea, Essex where she discovered that being Northern made her a foreigner and she spoke a completely different language to the locals leading to more than a couple of awkward situations!

Sarah loves all types of cheesy tv, films and music such as Glee and High School Musical and has been described as being addicted to Starbucks (by various people!). She’s an experimental baker with various results, the worst of which normally being when she tries to actually follow the recipe!
