John Lenton worked in financial services for 25 years after graduating from Oxford and the Harvard Business School. He took early retirement in 1996 in order to work full time in Christian service. Since that time he has helped found a Christian business school in Romania and lived there for seven years with his wife, Ann, teaching a variety of courses. He also studied at Oak Hill Theological College for the Anglican ministry and is today a non-stipendiary minister on the staff of St John's Church, Downshire Hill, in north London. He and Ann have two adult children and six grandchildren.
