Christian Persuaders
Graham Shearer
Christian Persuaders Training and Operations Manager
Graham works with Alex and Richard running the Christian Persuaders project, leading workshops across the country and speaking at student lunchbars.
He became a Christian at the age of 14 after reading Matthew's Gospel in bed. Four years later he went off to Cambridge to study History and enjoyed three years of drinking coffee, eating brioche and rifling through the index of books to find the relevant page on Roman agriculture.
In between all that he managed to fit in being involved in the CU, loving the Bible teaching, fellowship and evangelism, and found himself in committee meetings discussing the number of pencils they needed to order for the upcoming mission.
He spent two years in London, living in the East End and working in the City for St Helen's Bishopsgate. After watching all seven series of 'The West Wing' he went to Washington DC for an internship with Capitol Hill Baptist Church. He returned home to London, found a job in recruitment and, more importantly, got married to Katherine.
