Out of the Saltshaker
Rebecca Manley Pippert
"A book cram-packed with easy to read stories about inspiring evangelism in practice."
As I read this book I was amazed at the boldness of Becky (the author) as she lived her life for God. In everyday conversations on the bus, on the plane and at university she talks to people about Jesus and the difference he makes in her life. Read this book and see what it looks like to truly live a radical life for Jesus.
The book explains what evangelism is and the importance of love and care when evangelising. It also talks about how to do it and why we should bother.
Out of the saltshaker challenged me to stop being ashamed and embarrassed about Jesus by blocking him out of the conversations I had with my friends but instead to be ready to share my faith whenever the opportunities arose. I was amazed at how often opportunities arose when I did not push them away and how exciting it was to tell my friends about Jesus! This is a great book to read just before getting to your new university or college as an encouragement to be a bold and loving witness for Christ as you begin new friendships next year.
