Associate Staff Workers

Associate Staff Workers are volunteers who work with UCCF supporting Christian Unions. This tends to be part time, in a specific area and in close partnership with UCCF staff.

The role involves direct student work, and applications are welcomed from those who are graduates or have been through a CU themselves, and who are in active membership of their local church and would enter this role with their church’s support and blessing. They also need to be in wholehearted agreement with the vision, values and strategy of UCCF, including our Doctrinal Basis.

The ASW will be expected to meet once a term (as a minimum) with the Team Leader and/or the local CUSW to discuss and pray about the nature, objectives and strategy of the work. The ASW may also be invited to attend regional team meetings, but would not be required to do so.

ASWs are able to claim for expenses incurred and will be entitled to discount on IVP books.  The ASW may be invited to attend UCCF’s Annual Student Conference ‘Forum’ and/or the UCCF Annual Staff Training Conference, but would not be required to do so.

Those wishing to be ASWs must complete the form and return to Personnel who will then take up the two references. Once these references have been received the Team Leader of the region of interest will shortlist the application, and if appropriate set up an interview with the Team Leader and a representative of the local CU.
