Whilst growing up in Devon, Anna thought she was a Christian so it came as a bit of a shock when she got to know some Christians at school and found their lives so different from her own!
Over a number of years, she learnt about God as he really is, rather than as she'd imagined he was, and was amazed to discover his grace, mercy and sovereignty. It was infinitely better than the slightly cross but mostly benign grandfather in the sky she'd always envisaged!
Moving to London for university was a crucial time for Anna as it was at Rose Bruford drama college that, by God's grace, she finally grasped the gospel message. It changed everything! She'd arrived at Rose Bruford college with no future plans beyond getting through her degree and trying to start a career in theatre; she left realising that she is a precious child of God, a servant of King Jesus, with an eternity of glory to look forward to.
Anna would love her time with UCCF to be one where students are rooted and established in the truth about Christ, understanding the gospel message and building their lives on it's sure foundation, not just at university but for life.
On a different note, if you've got a spare few hours ask her what she loves about Shakespeare…
