Jo Simpkins
Jo grew up in Hertfordshire, had Christian parents who took her to church from week one of her life, and came to know Jesus Christ for herself around the age of 11.
She went to Southampton University to study Social Policy and developed a heart for student evanglism during her time with the CU there. She met her husband Dan at the CU and they married after graduating. They moved to Bracknell where Jo worked for the next six years in a Crime and Disorder Reduction Team as an Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator, and spent her spare time involved in childrens and youth work at her church.
In 2010 Southampton beckoned again and they moved back for Dan to start working at the church they attended as students. Being back in her uni city with lots of students at church revived Jo's old love for student evangelism. So she moved out of the world of crime and disorder and into UCCF staffwork!
Jo loves cooking for friends, drinking coffee with friends, youthwork, and going to the New Forest on days off for ginger ice-cream and walks by the sea.
