Know and Tell the Gospel

John Chapman

Know and Tell the Gospel“A truly incredible book on evangelism - also designed to train and equip others for the work! ”

The title of this book could not be much simpler, but it perfectly describes its contents. It is concerned with why we evangelise and how we evangelise. Chapman states that while all Christians should be involved in evangelism, due to fear and a lack of understanding, very few actually are. The first section of the book literally spells out what the gospel is and how it is taught from the Bible; it then deals with methods and techniques for evangelism. The final chapter is entitled “Training yourself and others” and is written as a tool to use for training others in evangelism, by equipping the reader with the tools that they need.

The book truly succeeds in helping the reader to see that the natural progression from knowing the gospel is the desire to tell others. If you have never read anything on evangelism and want to read just one book, this is it. Chapman is concerned with teaching his readers the fundamentals of evangelism. This book does not give guidelines for specific situations such as discussing the gospel with a Muslim, but I doubt that anyone could read this book and not learn something from it.
