We know that some of you have been itching to get your hands on our graphics for a while now – well itch no longer because they’re all here!
The lovely folk at IE have put together all the graphics you’ll need for your FREE missions. As well as all providing all the logos, illustrations and doodles that appear in the gospels they have produced a Brand Development Kit (let me hear you say ‘oooh!’) to help you get it looking like all the other FREE materials.
You can use these to make your own posters, fliers, websites, PowerPoints, videos and hoodies and anything else you can think of. For those of you who want something a little more out-of-the-box, there are some customisable posters, fliers and PowerPoints available which you can adapt with your own information.
So whether you a creative genius or just want something simple that you can make your own we hope that you’ll have everything you need to be FREE.
Thank you to everyone has given towards our FREE Appeal. We have been overwhelmed by your generosity and God’s provision and we have now reached our target for this project. Please keep praying as we print the Gospels and begin to distribute them to CUs across the country.
You can now become a fan of the Free Gospel Project by joining our facebook page. This page will be the hub of the project for the next year. It will be a great place to share our ideas, our photos and videos, and to discuss anything to do with CU Missions and the Free Gospel Project. We'll use it to encourage one another, to share prayer information and to ask questions. There will also be loads of resources for you to download.
If you're not a fan of facebook, fear not! All the important stuff will be on the UCCF site as well.
The doodle deadline is almost upon us!
- Why not download a briefing PDF, do a doodle and send it to IE Design right now!?
- Or print out a load of briefing sheets (one per CU member), put them out on seats before the CU meeting is due to begin and encourage the CU to doodle for the first 10 minutes of the meeting? Simply collect the artwork at the end of the meeting and send it to IE Design the next day.
- How about doodling in your small group/cell group meeting?
Whoodle wouldn’t want to do a doodle?
This is your last chance to submit your doodle for inclusion in ‘FREE’ Gospel project 2008.
Please include your name and city of study with all artwork and send to:

This year we are going for a very 'handmade' look, and as part of the design we want to illustrate the gospels with doodles from students, supporters, Relay Workers and Staff Workers. We have provided a number key words from Mark to give you some inspiration, all you have to do is get out a pen and have a go! You don't have to be a budding artist, you just have to know how to work a biro!

A number of UCCF staff and students gather together and spend the day whittling down the names. Over 350 entries have been made by staff, students and supporters. Cake and coffee intake goes through the roof but finally a winner is chosen. The Gospel Project has a name - 'Free'.
UCCF are inviting students, supporters, staffworkers and Relay workers to contribute suggestions for the name of the new Gospel project. The name will need to be snappy and interesting. It will also have to reflect the thrust of Mark’s gospel, covering the key things he’s trying to communicate.
IE Design have been our design agency since 2005. They have played a key role in all the branding and design work that has taken place over the past few years. IE Design have also worked on previous Gospel Projects, they designed the Identity Gospel Project which was launched in 2001.
After some consultation with students, it has been decided that Mark’s gospel will be the text for the Gospel project.
Society partnering with UCCF: The Christian Unions. Bible Society have been producing Bibles for over two hundred years. We’re delighted that they’re partnering with us in producing the gospels for this project.
It’s now been four years since the launch of the Life gospel project. With the launch of Hope ’08 this year UCCF saw this as a great opportunity to contribute to this national initiative.
