Jesus’ prayer for unity in John 17 impacted Brian as a student. Spending the New Year holidays at the Urbana Student Mission Convention brought ministry in cities into focus. In London, these two themes are interwoven.
Leading the London team gives Brian loads of opportunities to chat with church leaders and other colleagues in the student ministry world. Like Barnabas in Acts 11, it’s with gladness that he looks for evidence of the grace of God in other’s lives. The capital’s one million students mean that no one can reach them alone. As CUs, we are united as 'OneLondon', focusing together on reaching our massive mission field with the good news of Jesus Christ.

When he’s not caring for the excellent team of staff workers, Relay Workers, and Associate Staff, Brian likes to spend time with his family. This often involves refereeing arguments between his sons, Wilson and Owen, about whether Arsenal or Liverpool are the better football club, whilst dancing with his daughter, Alison, or – better yet – his wife, Rhonda. If there’s still time, following American college football via the Internet is a favourite pastime.
