Katie's growth as a Christian really took off when she went to study at Nottingham University and became involved with the Christian Union there. It was there that her understanding of the gospel was really consolidated and where she first understood the great privilege it is to share the incredible promises held out in the gospel with students and the necessity of getting this message out.

This passion was furthered as she became a Relay worker in Nottingham in 2003-4, and worked for IFES with international students in Coimbra, Portugal in the following year. After returning home, she trained as a teacher and has been teaching in Derbyshire for two years.

However, student ministry continued to be a huge part of her life, as she helped to lead the student ministry at Cornerstone Church, where she is a member. When the opportunity to join the UCCF staff came up, she jumped at the chance to work full-time again with students and is excited by what the Lord has in store for her and for the CUs and students she will be working with in the coming years.
