Matt works alongside Sunderland, Stockton (Queens Campus or Durham University) and Teesside University Christian Unions. He is involved in evangelism on campus as well as discipling students encouraging them to live for Jesus and speak for Jesus. More specifically Matt spends time training Bible study leaders to lead their hall groups, speaks at some evangelistic events, meets one to one with students to train, encourage and challenge them amongst other things. He also works in the regional team to put on committee training weekends, evangelism training conferences and small group leaders events. He also spends some time promoting the work of UCCF in local churches and encourage them to partner in the gospel.

Matt is football mad! He is an ardent supporter of Sunderland AFC and has a season ticket. He also plays football for his home church in the North East Christian Fellowship League. Matt also likes listening to music and going to live gigs. He would like to learn to play the guitar at some point! Matt is interested in theology and is looking forward to being able to study as part of his job. Finally, Matt loves 24, Jack Bauer is a hero!
