Jessica Davidson
Relay Worker
If you had suggested Relay to me in my first year, I would have told you it was a nice idea but my life was already planned. From the age of 12 the plan has always been to do a PGCE when I finished my degree.
However, I was blessed to be on the committee for my Christian Union in my third year and when my Staff Worker asked me if I had considered Relay, I felt the words slip out of my mouth that I was very interested. I heard myself telling her that I would love to meet up with people and attend events without the deadlines of a degree hanging over me. I was also really drawn by the Bible teaching Relay offers and felt it would be an incredible opportunity to spend a year dedicated to God and finding out more about him.
God further confirmed that this was what he wanted when I was accepted on the Relay programme in Newcastle. He spoke very clearly to me about Relay when I was visiting my friend in Brussels over New Year. I am excited and nervous about Relay but I’m trusting God with all the details.
