The Program
During the day there will be the chance to meet students from other CUs in the North East, and share ideas for reaching out with the good news of Jesus. In seminars, we’ll get practical, thinking about how to reach the different types of people, in the different situations God has placed us – see seminar options.
In the two main sessions, our main speakers will bring God’s word to us, and help us think through what the Bible says about God, his glorious gospel and our part in going and telling people. There’ll also be interviews, book reviewsd and we’ll be launching the FREE gospoel project
We’ve changed the timings a bit this year, which gives you more of a lie in(!), and also means we can end the day with an evening celebration, with more time to sing priase to God, to pray for each other, and respond to the challenge to GO!
Main talks
Mike Reeves will set the big scene for us, answering the question Why GO?
Richard Cunningham will challenge us, asking the question Are you ready to GO?
Main Speakers
Richard Cunningham
Richard has been Director of UCCF: the Christian Unions since early 2004. Immediately prior to that he was Executive Director of the Areopagus Trust, developing initiatives in confronting secular thought in universities across Britain and Europe and, at the same time, was Director of Evangelism at St Andrew’s Church, Oxford. He has previously served on UCCF staff as Evangelism Trainer. Richard has been Director of UCCF: the Christian Unions since early 2004.
Mike Reeves
Before joining UCCF, Mike was a minister at All Souls Church, Langham Place in central London and spent his spare time doing a doctorate in systematic theology at King’s College. He is now responsible for overseeing all things Theology Network related.
When not studying theology, Mike enjoys eating pizza (never Hawaiian!) and watching films with his dog, cat and wife, Bethan. He also enjoys writing about himself in the third person for the web.
