North East Update

Saying goodbye is always hard and it is sad at the end of term to see friends graduate and move into a new phase of life.  Please remember to pray those in CU who are graduating and face very new challenges in the workplace. Also pray for new people preparing to come to your uni.  They might not know who they are yet but God does!

I know from experience that summer time can be tough spiritually as we are out of our normal routines.  However, the extra time we have can be a real opportunity for growth.  There are loads of great Christian books out there so why not get stuck into some summer reading.  Check out (http://youtube.com/watch?v=e264cCWeyFI) for some ideas.

Summer activities also offer great potential to grow.  There are loads of ways to be involved in church missions and holiday clubs,  international outreach, camps etc to grow in your evangelism and confidence in getting the gospel out (If you’ve still got free time in the summer why not get stuck into something your church is involved in.)  Christian festivals also give opportunities for great fellowship and teaching.  Let’s pray that this summer many will come to know Jesus for themselves, and that we’d grow in our love of Jesus – fired up to tell others about him on campus.

Which brings us to Free!  Next term sees the launch of the Free Gospel Project.  For more info check out (http://www.uccf.org.uk/students/gospel-project/).  Why not commit over the summer to read through Mark’s gospel and pray that God will open a door to read it with a friend next year?
