My name is Sarah and I am 24 years old – which is older than most Relay workers! I am originally from Surrey, just south of London. After completing a degree in English and Creative Writing at Aberystwyth University, I spent a further year in Aber training to be an English teacher. I have been working for the past 2 years in a beautiful rural Welsh town called Llanfyllin – and I still haven’t quite learnt to pronounce that correctly!

A strong desire to learn more about God and to serve him in a more full-time capacity has stayed with me throughout those years. God has now opened up an opportunity for me to face the challenge of this 10 month Relay course; I hope and pray that I will see him working in amazing ways in Lampeter, as I study his Word and serve the Christian Union in his name.

My own involvement in Aberystwyth’s CU had a great impact upon my own spiritual growth, and I am excited at the prospect of enabling other students to experience that growth and encouragement for themselves during their university years.
