What can you praise God for this term?

Recently at the CU leaders training day in Guildford we shared some of the great stuff that God has been doing this term in the CU’s in the South East. Here are some of them, praise God….Rob was saved, growth in CU, Emily was saved, Christian was saved, the motion against anyone having a stage from which to preach from, not being passed,. There is so much to thank God for this year.

As we introduce our friends to Jesus Christ and pray for the work of the Spirit Paul says that we are to use the Word of God. The most obvious and clear way to let God speak is through the Bible itself; God’s word is where the power is. As people read the Gospel, God opens hearts to believe in Him.  1 Peter 1:23 says that we are born again by the word of God and 2 Tim 3:15-16 says that Scripture makes us wise for salvation. As we read the gospel with our friends Jesus will walk out of the pages of Scripture and into their lives through the work of the Spirit.

We’re really looking forward to the new term and the launch of FREE, CU’s across the South East are planning and praying as they work out how to give many students the opportunity to read the gospel and discover for themselves what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. As a region we want to have a year long strategy right from fresher’s week until the summer where we not only share the gospel but our lives with our friends on campus.

Many from our region are going on summer teams, please pray for the summer camp in Bulgaria 10-28th July and Bournemouth International outreach 12-26th July that many will hear the gospel and will become Christians.
