Brian was born in Newport, South Wales where he lived for the first eighteen years of his life. But Brian never heard and understood the good news about Jesus until he went away to Bristol University, where he studied law.

At Bristol, Brian became a Christian in his second year thanks to the faithful witness of his friends in the CU. From there Brian grew in his faith and became more and more involved, getting stuck into the Christian Union and Church.

After graduating Brian moved further away from his homeland (with his accent becoming more southern), spending two years working for a church in Southampton. Brian had the chance to put many of the things he'd learned at Bristol into practice in his job and began working with students encouraging them to live for Jesus, and then later as a study assistant to the ministers (he read books for them). Brian loved his time in Southampton, and grew massively in his faith over the two years.

Brian spent two enjoyable years as the Staff Worker in Exeter, but he has now moved to Bristol where he works with his wife Becca supporting the CUs in the Bristol & Bath area.

Brian is also a big sports fan (alhough pretty awful at playing most of them), and is a keen follower of Manchester United.
