It’s the summer – hooray!  And with it comes lots of opportunities to travel, earn money, rest and catch up with friends.  It’s also a great time for getting involved in exciting adventures with other Christians on mission teams.

This year loads of Welsh students have signed up and shipped out. One team have just returned from their trip to Madagascar. They had an amazing time teaching English to Malagasy students, meeting up with the CU in the university and getting to know local families. Philippa said, “ It was a brilliant trip. People really wanted to practice their English and everywhere we went we made friends and had opportunities to tell people about Jesus.”

Student Outreach to Malawi (STORM) headed by Sam Orr a student from Cardiff CU is also in full swing with 5 teams going out this summer. They have had real trouble getting flights due to the political turmoil in Zimbabwe but praise God the first team made it safely and are serving God amongst some of the poorest people in Africa.

Please pray for the different summer mission trips this year. Remember the teams abroad – in Lithuania, Spain and Malawi, as well as the teams in Wales in the Gorlan (during the National Eisteddfod) and the church mission in Cwmtwrch near Swansea.
