Step 1 - Find a time and place to meet

The ideal place to meet is somewhere on campus, somewhere that is familiar to students, like a room in the Students' Union. The best places are easily accessible and visible, not hidden away in a dark corner at the end of a maze of corridors! It is best to start off with a smaller room because you don’t want to rattle around – a small group in a big room can be a bit depressing.

If the bulk of students accommodation is a long way from campus you may decide it’s better to meet nearer where they live. If you can’t get a university room, try local coffee shops; they may well open up late for you. It is always better to meet in a neutral venue rather than in someone’s room – people who lack confidence or unbelievers may not be so keen to come to a house, but would be happy to join you at a coffee shop.

Finally, set a time when you think the greatest number of people will be able to come, noting that this might not be the most convenient time for you.
