The CU at UCL ran out of chairs at their prayer meeting this week. In the past only a handful of students came to prayer meetings so they were thrilled that 35 students, including a number of freshers, turned up to pray this week. The committee had been praying specifically that more people would come to prayer meetings. They had also been praying for the chance to meet freshers. About 20 freshers contacted the CU via Facebook weeks before they arrived at University and 75 students, many of them new, came to the CU meeting on Monday night. They have also been praying that students will be excited about sharing the Gospel – that the CU would be focused on mission for the whole year, not just mission week.
