Essential Information

Cooking breakfast

Food at Forum

If your accommodation is indoors and catered, then your meals are provided. At midday, collect a packed lunch from your dining room and take it wherever you want.

Top tip: If you’re limited in your cooking ability, pair up, ask your neighbours. They’ll be friendly!

Where can I buy food?

If you're planning to cook throughout the week, check out our simple self-catering guide and menu plan for Forum.

There are also food van options onsite every day offering quick and easy meals (lunchtime and evening), so you can take a night off from cooking over the camping stove! Check back nearer the time for full details about the food van options on site.

Our Relay Café sells tasty cakes (including gluten/dairy free options) and a small variety of other snacks.

There are food outlets within a gentle stroll in Weston Rhyn (Wong Wong Fish & Chips/Chinese or Weston Rhyn Stores). You can hop in a car and find supermarkets (Co-op in Chirk, Stan’s Superstore in St Martins, Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s in Oswestry, or Tesco and Asda in Wrexham), pubs (The Poacher’s Pocket has good deals), cafés (Moreton Park Garden Centre has nice cakes), and even McDonald’s on the A5 towards Wrexham. There’s a BP service station with a mini M&S by the traffic island on the A5 turning to Quinta.

There is a freezer available to refreeze ice-packs for cool bags or ice boxes. Look for the signs.

Top tip: Forum does not have a cash machine on-site, so bring appropriate funds for food, visits to the Forum Bookshop and an offering for international student ministry on Thursday evening. There is a cash machine inside the Weston Rhyn village store, if you find you’re running short.
