UCCF: The Christian Unions are seeking an Assistant Accountant to play a key role in its busy Finance department. Working under the Head of Finance, the Assistant Accountant will ensure that the finances of the Fellowship are reported accurately and in a timely manner to facilitate good decision-making by senior management. They will be part of a close-knit team, and a friendly and Christ-centred office.
The successful candidate will assist with the budgeting process, and undertake management accounts and financial administration for UCCF. They will be part or newly qualified as an Accountant (or qualified by experience), with experience of book-keeping and preparing management and year end accounts. They will be able to work methodically and accurately, be proficient in using Microsoft Office and accounting software, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The role is full-time (36¼ hours per week) and is permanent position. The post is based in UCCF’s office in central Oxford. Salary will be £24,975 - £27,749 pa, dependent upon qualifications and experience. Annual holiday allowance will be 30 days, plus the 8 public holidays. If relevant, UCCF would be open to granting both financial help and study leave to enable the post holder complete their professional accountancy exams.
