Theology Network Co-ordinator

Do you have a passion for seeing Theology students equipped to live and speak for Jesus within their faculties and after they graduate? Theology students face unique challenges and opportunities on their courses and will graduate to profoundly impact society and the Church.

The aim of the Theology Network is to equip students to make the connection between the gospel and the academic study of Theology and to train students to be Christ-centred leaders in their sphere of influence, doing their theology to serve the Church. We do this through a resources website and key conferences as well as one-to-one and local hub meetings.

Working with students, UCCF Staff Workers and Associate Staff Workers across the UK, the Theology Network Co-ordinator resources and trains Theology students to make them as effective as they can be in living and speaking for Jesus in their academic context.

What kind of person are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has a heart to see theology students thrive as they live and speak for Christ in their academic context. At the heart of the work are skills to help students think and live biblically, and the ability to disciple, motivate and influence students to share the gospel. You will also need to be a Theology graduate, familiar with the culture of University life in order to reach non-Christian students and be willing to raise financial support towards your total employment costs.

To equip you for this strategic ministry, staff follow a first-rate four-year training curriculum in theology, biblical studies, mission, apologetics, church history and ministry skills, which both enables staff in their ministry day-to-day and prepares them for future ministry, whether cross-cultural mission, church ministry or serving in the workplace. They are also supported and cared for by a Team Leader, and equipped through their regional team, meeting regularly with them for study, prayer and fellowship.

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on 13 October 2019 and interviews will be held on Tuesday 12 - Thursday 14 November 2019.

The application pack should contain everything you need to know, but for more information you can contact Susie Green, Head of Human Resources by email or phone: 01865 253 665.
