Abbie will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Abbie is doing Relay in Chichester, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Chichester.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hello, I’m Abbie and I’m very excited to be doing Relay alongside Chichester Christian Union for the next year!
I studied Accounting and Finance at Coventry University and loved being a part of the CU for the past four years. It’s been a joy to meet so many inspiring people who have helped me to be bolder in my evangelism and see how God has worked within my life over that time. There have been many times where I have been surprised at students’ openness to hearing the gospel and I’m excited to see this continue in Chichester.
I can’t wait to get stuck in at Chichester CU, helping them to share the gospel with students on their campus as well as personally learning to rely on God better. I’m new to the South East but I’m very excited for this next chapter of meeting new people, exploring a new part of the country and seeing what God has in store for me next!
If you feel able to support me prayerfully or financially that would be such a blessing. I will be sending out regular prayer letters with updates on how Chichester CU are getting on with their evangelism as well as continuing to support raise financially to cover my living costs for the year.
Starting Relay has led to amazing conversations about Christianity with my family and friends already and I’m super excited to see how this grows over the year!
