CU Staff Worker in our South East region.
Alyssa is originally from South London, and once she had spent a few years moving around the South-West she to moved to Reading to be closer to her hometown.
She fully gave her life to Christ when she was 12 after realising that God was not a myth or tradition, but a real, loving Father who intimately and infinitely cares about her. This love for God then led her to study Theology at the University of Exeter specialising in Disability Theology and New Testament Studies, as well as some modules in British Sign Language. At Uni Alyssa was involved with CU which fuelled her passion for mission and evangelism and she loved getting stuck in with what God was doing. She also was part of various musical groups and even the university's Karate Team.
After uni, Alyssa headed slightly further up north to Bristol for a year to join the New Wine Discipleship Year hub there where she spent a year interning for a Church and investing in her own walk with Jesus.
She longs to see more students come to meet Jesus, grow in knowledge and love of Him as they journey through three of the most exciting years of their lives and share their faith with those around them.
When she isn't working with the CU at Reading, you'll most likely find her at a piano, in a coffee shop or baking in her kitchen.
Please give now to support Alyssa’s vital work with Christian Unions. We can’t do this without you.
