Bethia will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Bethia is doing Relay in York, supporting the Christian Unions in York St John University and the University of York.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hi and welcome to my support page!! I’m really excited to be spending the next year working with the Christian Unions at the University of York and York St John. For me, university at York, where I studied English and Related Literature, has been a deeply valuable time – I’ve learnt a lot about myself and about other people, and I’ve had my faith and life perspective challenged and refined. What’s really stayed with me has been the incredibly formative nature of university life – there are so many students from so many different backgrounds, with such hugely differing ideas, brought together into one space to learn, talk, grow, to be shaped by the people and the ideas they meet. It’s such a unique and powerful opportunity to share the good news of the gospel, especially in an environment where so many young people are exploring who they really want to be, what they actually believe, what’s going to rule their lives.
I’ve come to the end of my degree with a growing hunger to see the light of the gospel shining into dark places, and a passion to meet the questioning minds and hearts of university students with the real, tangible answers that only Jesus can provide. I’d love you to consider supporting me in this, whether that’s through prayer or giving towards my ministry and living costs!

Relay Workers are supported entirely by partnering with personal supporters, who will pray for them and give financially to enable their work. Thank you so much for considering partnering with Bethia in the coming year.
