Emma will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Emma is doing Relay in Norwich, supporting the Christian Union in East Anglia, University of (UEA).
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Emma says...
Hi, I'm Emma and I am super excited to be doing Relay in Norwich in the upcoming academic year. I have just finished studying for my degree in International Development here at UEA, and I can't wait to stay in Norwich to support the Christian Union.
Through being more involved in serving the UEA CU during my second and third years of uni, our Relay Workers constantly supported us in our mission to reach students on campus with the gospel so I am looking forward to being able to take on that role come September. I am particularly passionate about making sure that every student no matter their faith background or situation feels loved and embraced by the CU. And as the Christian Union continues to grow in members, I am looking forward to supporting the students to ensure that everyone is able to find and build a community there.
As part of this year, I will be partnering with people both in prayer and in finances. I will be sending out monthly prayer letters and would really appreciate any prayer throughout the year! As I will be support raising my living costs for the year, I would also appreciate any financial support, no matter how big or small- either monthly or through a one-off gift.

It costs on average £8,000–12,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
- Encourage CU students in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
- Give biblically-grounded answers to students exploring Christianity.
- Support CUs as they seek to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
