Emma Soh

Emma will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.

Emma Beatrice Yunwen is doing Relay in Cambridge, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Cambridge.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Emma Beatrice Yunwen says...

I’m Emma, and I’ll be starting Relay in Cambridge this year. I’m originally from Singapore, and came to the UK to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge before heading to Imperial College London to do a Masters in Science Communication.

Moving to a new country to start university was a challenging and daunting experience, and I am thankful for the welcoming community of Christians that encouraged and built me up in my walk with God. I’m looking forward to walking alongside students in Cambridge to explore the hope found in Jesus Christ, and to equip students in the CU to have the confidence to share and live out the gospel in their time at university and beyond! In particular, I will be working in the Science Network, helping to equip students in the sciences to live and speak for Jesus in their subject. I’m excited to marry my love for God and science, and to engage students in thinking seriously about how they can live out their love for Jesus in their course or in future scientific careers.

Relay is a voluntary position, and as I enter this new role, I would truly appreciate if you would prayerfully consider supporting me in prayer or financially in my year on the programme, whether big or small, and support my work in gospel ministry! If you would like to support me financially, supporters outside of the UK can contact me directly, and supporters within the UK can give via Stewardship using the link below.
