Esther will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Esther is doing Relay in Leeds, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Leeds.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Esther says...
In the coming year I will be doing Relay in Leeds alongside the University of Leeds CU. This is just one of the many ways to serve post-graduation amongst a framework of people through UCCF. In my time of being within the CU at Leeds Beckett University, there was so much to learn and appreciate, such as friendship and fellowship, planning and executing outreach, as well as being fed with the Word and leading others to it by sharing the Gospel. I hope to continue in these facets of learning and development throughout my time as a Relay – extending and cultivating friendship, fellowship, serving in planning and executing outreach as well as growing in my faith. To be able to successfully carry out these hopes for the coming year, support is key. This year I am responsible to find a group of supporters who will support me financially for living and ministry costs which totals approximately £8,000 for the year. This is the equivalent of 20 people giving me £10 each month, plus 15 people giving me £20 per month and 10 people giving me £30 per month. Would you be willing to help in this way? Prayer would also be a great way to support my personal journey through Relay, furthermore the students at the University of Leeds and their pursuits as a CU.

It costs on average £8,000–12,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.

- Encourage CU students in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
- Give biblically-grounded answers to students exploring Christianity.
- Support CUs as they seek to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
