Hendrick will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Hendrick is doing Relay in Plymouth, supporting the Christian Unions in Plymouth College of Art, Plymouth University and University of St Mark & St John Plymouth (MARJON).
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Hi, my name is Hendrick Esterhuyse and I’m the Relay Worker for the University of Plymouth. I’ve just graduated from the same university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and through the 4 years that I've spent here, I’ve been involved with the Christian Union as an active student member and as the treasurer on Committee. My four years of being a part of the CU gives me tons of experience and knowledge to help guide and the lead the CU in my year as Relay and I am really excited for all the opportunities that this coming year will offer. I can’t wait to see myself and the students there grow in our maturity in Christ through this year, as we try and present the gospel to more and more people on campus and I’m especially looking forward to having so much more time to get to grips with God’s word and see the fruit that that has in my life.
Being a Relay Worker this year as a full-time volunteer makes me fully financially dependent on donors, and so I’d love to ask that you’d consider partnering with me in prayer and financially in my work with the CU next year.
