Joanna will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Joanna is doing Relay in Aberdeen, supporting the Christian Union in Robert Gordon University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Hello! My name is Joanna and I am from the North West Highlands. I moved to the big city of Edinburgh to do my nursing training. While at uni, I was involved with the CU which was so influential in growing my understanding and practice of evangelism and thus how to live out my faith. I am so excited to have the opportunity to similarly support students at RGU CU this year. Through things such as outreach events and bible studies, I will be serving the CU in their mission any way I can!
I am looking forward to growing and challenging my own faith through Relay too. Learning to be continually dependent on God and being able to live and serve Him in all areas of my life. I feel honoured to get to see and be a part of students at RGU coming to and growing in faith in Jesus.

It costs on average £8,000–12,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
- Encourage CU students in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
- Give biblically-grounded answers to students exploring Christianity.
- Support CUs as they seek to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
