Relay Worker in our South East region.
Joel is doing Relay in Reading, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Reading.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
For the past 4 years I have had the privilege of being part of the University of Surrey CU and have witnessed first-hand the incredible impact that CUs can have: giving 1000s of students the opportunity to hear the gospel for the first time and encouraging Christian students to be passionate about evangelism in their day-to-day lives.
I am very excited to be moving to Reading to work with Reading CU as they seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ. As a Relay worker my role will involve supporting and equipping University of Reading students to share the gospel on their campus, whilst studying the bible and getting involved in evangelism myself.
As part of this role, I am looking for a team of partners who can support me. Without God’s help, none of this is possible, so I would really appreciate prayer for myself and the CU throughout the 2021/22 academic year after a year severely impacted by Covid-19. I will be sending out a regular prayer letter which you can sign up to with updates on how you can be praying. I am also seeking financial support to live in Reading and pay for ministry expenses, which you can also contribute to.
Don’t be afraid to get in contact with me if you would like more information. I look forward to having you join me in sharing the gospel and seeing God transform lives.
