Relay Worker in our Central region.
After 3 brilliant (if crazy!) years studying Archaeology at Cambridge, I now have the opportunity to spend another year here as a part of UCCF's Relay programme. Having had the privilege of serving as Prayer Secretary in the Christian Union, I am thrilled to be able to continue my involvement with the CU in Cambridge University, as well as other local CUs.
It has been so special to labour for the gospel with fellow students, whether taking time on our knees in prayer, inviting students to events and flyering on lecture sites, or coming together for planning meetings, and I feel very fortunate to be able to continue doing all of these things! I hope that the many things I have learned to do with evangelism, and (most significantly) the importance of prayer will leave me in a good place to support members of the CU through various means. Of course, I'm also looking forward to learning much from the students in various ways throughout the year! It will be fantastic, too, to take some time this year for personal theological and apologetic study, such that my knowledge of (not "about") Christ and of how to share him will be deepened.
This role is voluntary, so I will be seeking to raise support to cover ministry and living costs. Please do get in touch if you are able to and would like to support me financially. Whether that applies to you or not, please do pray for me and for Christ to be proclaimed in the Universities!
It costs on average £7,000–10,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
