Katrin will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Katrin is doing Relay in Glasgow, supporting the Christian Union in Glasgow Caledonian University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Katrin says...
Hi! I’m Katrin and I’m from Fort William up in the highlands of Scotland. I’ve just finished studying Speech and Language Therapy at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Now I’ll be making the move across to Glasgow to work with the students at Glasgow Caledonian University to help them with their uni evangelism.
Being part of the CU at QMU gave me lifelong friends but also opportunities to learn how to live out my faith practically. I became aware of how God can use you in whatever circumstances you are in, and I am excited to see how God can use Caley CU for His glory. I will be working with the CU helping out in anyway I can, with events, bible studies or anything else they need (I’m looking forward to expanding my coffee shop repertoire during 1-2-1s too!). I expect the next year to be challenging but really exciting and I would love for you to pray that I grow in my faith and fully rely on God and His plans and purposes for me.
As Relay is voluntary, I will be relying on financial support to fund the 10 months. With that in mind, I would love to ask if you would partner with me financially? Partner with Katrin
It costs on average £8,000–12,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
- Encourage CU students in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
- Give biblically-grounded answers to students exploring Christianity.
- Support CUs as they seek to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
