Relay Worker in our Midlands region.
Kayley is doing Relay in Keele, supporting the Christian Union in Keele University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hey, I’m Kayley and I am a relay worker at Keele University. I previously studied at Coventry University doing Nutrition and Dietetics. I was excited to join the Christian Union (CU) to meet like-minded Christians at university but as I grew in my faith, I learnt CUs are not just a place to make friends!
Through being involved in the CU, I became more convinced that CUs are best placed to make the gospel accessible to students. Students are yearning for friendship and connection, with their minds excited to learn. For many students, they are starting to define and justify what they believe about the world for the first time! I believe that in light of the global pandemic, students are thinking even more about the deeper questions of life.
This is why, I can’t wait to support Keele CU as a relay worker next year, to help students share the gospel on campus effectively and confidently. I would love if you would join me in supporting students coming to Christ. In order to be a relay worker, I will need your partnership financially and prayerfully as I cannot do this alone!
Under the support of my staff worker, I am looking forward to encouraging and discipling students. I hope to see students grow in their faith and experience the joys and challenges of evangelising at university for God’s glory!
