I will be a Relay worker with the University of Liverpool (where I graduated). Relay is an established UCCF mission and discipleship programme where I will have weeks packed full of various responsibilities – doing 1:1 with students, supporting and joining the CU on mission, personal study of the Bible and theology, attending training conferences, and being discipled by a UCCF Staff Worker.
I decided to do Relay because my time at CU was a very significant part of my student life. I was hugely impacted by the urgency of evangelism and the unity found in the mission of spreading the Gospel among 25,000 students. For me CU was a unique place of valuable support and encouragement through the highs and lows of student life, and I hope my input during this year will make it so for many others.
I am so looking forward to opening the Bible with students over a coffee, encouraging students to live set-apart salt and light lives, partnering together with other Christians to bring the hope of the Gospel to students, and having countless opportunities to grow in my faith.
I would be very grateful if you would consider this invitation to partner with me in prayer and financially. I would really appreciate your support as I seek to live faithfully during this unique opportunity to love, invest in, and share the Gospel with students who may have no contact with a church, or even any Christians, during their university years.
It costs on average £7,000–10,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
