Millie will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Millie is doing Relay in York, supporting the Christian Unions in the University of Hull, York St John University and the University of York.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Millie says...
Having spent my past three years studying in York, it is an absolute joy to spend another year here, supporting the University of York Christian Union, York St John and the University of Hull.
In my first year of university the Christian Union was pivotal in realising the biblical call to share Jesus. Over the past three years, along with my local church, it has helped to reignite my desire to seek Jesus and see the hearts of others transformed; encouraging and equipping me in doing so. I am so excited to get alongside CU members and encourage them in actively sharing the good news on campus. I grew up in Seattle, Tokyo, Singapore and Guernsey and was also particularly struck by the reflection of the global church on a university campus. God calls us to extend His love to the ends of the earth and university is such a unique opportunity to reach the nations, encouraging students to go back home feeling equipped to share the Gospel. I am excited particularly to extend hospitality to international students feeling far away from home.
Relay is a volunteering programme, and so in order to live in York and support students in York and Hull next year I will be seeking to raise approximately £10k to cover living and ministry costs. I would love it if you would prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry work through financial or prayerful support.

- To actively seek Jesus with my whole heart, that I grow continually in my dependence upon God in prayer and seek always to work for His glory.
- For christian and non-christian students arriving in York and Hull in September. For wisdom and joy for the CU in sharing with each student the Gospel of Jesus.
- That I may build good relationships with the students I encounter, supporting them in faith and pointing them to Jesus.
