Molly Channell

Molly will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.

Molly is doing Relay in Chester, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Chester.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Molly says...

I am so excited to be working alongside students from the University of Chester as a Relay Worker, supporting the CU in the vision of giving every student the opportunity to hear about Jesus. Having just graduated from Chester, the CU had a massive impact on me during my time at university, now I am looking forward to taking a new step in serving and encouraging students as they share the Gospel on campus.

Amongst my excitement at getting stuck into everything that Relay entails, I know that I cannot do the next ten month in my own strength. I am seeking a team of supporters, to partner with me as I seek to serve God. I will be sending out monthly prayer letters with exciting updates of how God is moving in Chester along with more specific prayer requests that will arise throughout the year.

Relay is a full-time voluntary position; I am putting my trust in Gods provision this year for my ministry and living expenses. I am looking forward to seeing growth in my faith, and being able to fully depend on God. I would love for you to consider becoming part of a financial support network to allow me to share the name of Jesus on campus.

Pray for Molly

Prayer is a vital part of supporting Molly’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Molly:

  • Pray that God will challenge me as I learn more about his word and how I can apply my gifts to best glorify him
  • Pray that Chester CU students would use their heart for Jesus to speak his word on campus
  • Pray that God will be working in the hearts of those that do not know him

Partner with Molly

It costs on average £8,000–12,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.

Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:

  • Encourage CU students in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
  • Give biblically-grounded answers to students exploring Christianity.
  • Support CUs as they seek to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
