Relay Worker in our Central region.
From my own university experience, I have been inspired and encouraged by the privileged position CU’s have in offering and challenging students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ at a uniquely formative stage of life. In September I shall be beginning UCCF's Relay Programme in Norwich, where I will be partnering with the Christian Union (CU) in the University of the Arts (UEA). In a culture shaken by Covid19, questions of worldview will undoubtably be particularly pertinent this year! I am excited to meet with students and support CU groups and activities, enriched by training conferences, my own theological study alongside the UCCF staff worker.
Through my time at Cambridge, I have seen how transformative university can be for students to grow and mature in faith and their vision for evangelism. I particularly hope, therefore, to help CU support and invite students arriving at university with a churched/Christian background but with questions surrounding whether to carry their faith forward into independent life. Having grown up in Norwich, I am encouraged by potential for growth and plans for new groups and outreach events within Norwich CUs. I hope to help these groups in being outward-looking and mission-orientated as well as internally supportive. The year will also be a valuable opportunity for myself to grow in my faith and knowledge of Christ.
To do this I need your support. I will be sending out regular prayer letters, below is an opportuntiy to sign up and pray for both the CU in their mission and for me as I work alongside them. Would you also consider partnering with me financially. Your support will go towards covering ministry and living expenses. In whatever way you are able to partner with me, thank you!
It costs on average £7,000–10,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
