CU Staff Worker in our North East region.
An exile from the south, Pete originally headed north to study Theology and Biblical Studies at the University of Sheffield. In addition to meeting some life-long friends, being distinctly average at football and the occasional lecture, Pete got involved in the Christian Union and loved being a part of an inspiring, diverse community of students seeking to make Jesus known.
As a part of his CU and a wonderful church family, Pete grew in his love for Jesus and understanding of the depths of God’s grace to him and just how exciting it was that others could come to know Jesus as their Saviour too. Convinced that the Gospel makes sense of our deepest needs and desires, Pete loves to help students ask the big questions and explore who Jesus is whilst at University.
After graduating Pete had the joy of continuing to tell students in Sheffield about the wonderful news of Jesus on UCCF’s Relay Programme, after this Pete married his best friend Esther and the journey north continued!
Knowing what a unique opportunity University offers, Pete is delighted to help equip Christian students to make the most of introducing their friends to Jesus through the three CUs in Newcastle and Sunderland.
Pete is a lover of travel and exploring new places, and if you’re not too careful can be known to recount a ‘Gap Yah’ story or two about South Sudan. He is a lover of sport, a West Ham fan by birth but increasingly enjoying watching the 'Toon Army’ play in Newcastle.
Please give now to support Peter's vital work with Christian Unions. We can't do this without you.
