Rachel will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2022.
Rachel is doing Relay in London, supporting the Christian Unions in Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hi! I’m Rachel, and I’m going to be doing Relay in East London from September.
Having spent three years at Durham University, I had the privilege of meeting many like-minded students at CU who loved Jesus and wanted to make him known at university, through any means they could. Upon finishing my time at Durham, then, it felt completely natural that after seeing and experiencing first-hand the good work CUs do, I should apply to become a Relay Worker, and help students to continue to evangelise on campus in whatever capacity necessary. I’ll be doing a mixture of things, potentially including leading bible studies, giving evangelistic talks, having one to ones with students, and much more. I’m so excited to bring the Good News to students who’ve never heard it before!
Of course, for all this to happen I need a lot of financial support and prayer, which is why I’m asking you to consider partnering with me in this great opportunity. If you’d like, sign up to my newsletter, so you can be kept in the loop and pray for specific circumstances as they arise. Additionally, I’d love you to consider donating financially – all money received will go towards ministry and living costs, and I’d be so grateful for it. If you’ve got any questions or want more info, please do get in touch.
