Relay Worker in our Central region.
Sam is doing Relay in Hatfield, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Hertfordshire.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hi, I’m Sam and I’m the Relay worker for the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield! I’ve just graduated from the Uni in my degree of Aerospace Engineering after 4 years there, and through that time I’ve been well involved with the Christian Union as a student member and on Committee. Knowing the university and the CU there so well has me really excited for the opportunity that this coming year- and working alongside all of the students there – offers. I can’t wait to see myself and the students there grow in our maturity in Christ through this year, as we try and present the gospel to more and more people on campus and I’m especially looking forward to having so much more time to get to grips with God’s word and see the fruit that that has in my life.
Please join me in praying for the year ahead, in my own strength it’s going to be a really tough year both spiritually and emotionally, so I’d be especially grateful if you’d pray that I would have total trust in the Lord through all the stresses that come. Please consider joining my monthly prayer letter for updates throughout the year!
Being a Relay worker this year as a full-time volunteer makes me fully financially dependent on donors, and so I’d love to ask that you’d consider partnering with me financially in my work with the CU next year.
Thank you for all of your support for the coming year!
