Tom was born and raised in Taunton, in the beautiful county of Somerset. Whilst growing up in a Christian home, it was not until going to study Geography at The University of Reading that he finally understood the gospel for himself.
Tom gave his life to Christ in his first year, thanks in a large part to the witness of the Christian Union. It was from there that Tom grew in his faith and was able to get stuck in serving the CU and local Church. Following graduation in 2012, Tom undertook Relay, UCCF's one year discipleship programme, which further grew his faith.
After leaving Reading, he returned to the West Country to begin working for Network Rail for the best part of two years, undertaking a variety of roles on a management training scheme, as well as serving in his home church. His time at Network Rail allowed Tom to experience what it is to live for Jesus in the workplace, putting into practice some of the messages learned through Relay and growing his faith.
Tom has now moved to Bristol to work with and support the CU's in the Bristol area.
Tom is also a keen sportsman, enjoying playing Cricket and Rugby Union as well as following the fortunes of Bath Rugby and Somerset County Cricket Club. He also enjoys the outdoors, films, good cider and attempting to learn new songs on the guitar.
