Relay Worker in our Central region.
Hi! I'm Will, and Lord willing I'm going to move to Colchester in September to work for 10 months with the University of Essex's Christian Union.
Though I knew Jesus through my teenage years, it was as a student through my Church and amazing Christian Union in Cambridge that God showed me that I could speak and live for Him in all areas of my life: in history seminars, in the pub with my friends, and in my football team's changing room. Having conversations about Jesus didn't have to be a scary obligation, but could be exciting and deepening for my faith.
I’m really looking forward to serving God in a new university setting, being discipled and trained through study and conferences. I’m really excited about meeting the CU, and supporting Christian students as they know more of God’s love and and desire to see their friends and their campus changed by what Jesus has done. Christian Unions are so important, as Christian students can preach the gospel to other students in a way that no-one else can.
Moving cities and working with a new CU is very daunting for me, and I’m sure it will be a challenge in ways I’m not expecting.
I would hugely appreciate your support in prayer. As this role is also voluntary, I am seeking to raise my own finances so if you feel able to give anything big or small, it will be hugely appreciated Thank you so much for taking an interest in my job for the next year. Please stay in touch - I want to hear about you too!
