Would you like experience managing a venue at Forum? We require confident individuals to fill this role which will include overseeing a group of stewards, carrying out venue checks and recording numbers of delegates. Venues vary in size, from our 1200 seater main arena to our small 40-50 seater on site venues, so there's a venue size for everyone. You'll also make sure any resources required for sessions are ready and available in the venue and ensure the safety of delegates using your venue. You will report to the volunteer manager and feedback any questions or queries from the stewards in your venue. Alongside the regular application process, applicants for this role will also be interviewed by our site manager and production manager. This is a great role if you'd like experience in events or managing others.
We could not make Forum happen without stewards! Part of a large team, you will help steward our venues, including the main meetings, teaching tracks, and After Hours events, providing a friendly welcome and keeping delegates safe. You will help set up facilities for meetings and provide day-time site security through patrolling the site. You will also assist in keeping the site clean and help with welcoming people on to site throughout the event. There's lots of different jobs for stewards so you'll never be bored! If you like problem solving and love working in a team, this is the role for you.

We need stewards at Forum who will act predominantly as drivers. With various guests arriving throughout the week we need drivers on standby to provide essential transport. You may be taking people to the nearest train station, making a few essential trips to the nearest Sainsbury’s, or helping the hospitality team who often transport heavy things across site. You will need a valid UK drivers licence, and be able to bring your car to Forum. We will of course reimburse all petrol costs used throughout the week. When not driving, you’ll be able to take part in other steward activities.

The gate house serves as both the first friendly face people will see when arriving on site throughout the week and also a key component to keeping the site safe and secure. You'll be based within the gate house throughout your shift and will let the event team know of any deliveries coming on site, welcome guests and make sure they know where they're going, and help the event team keep the site secure.
