CU Staff Worker in our Scotland region.
It wasn’t until I went to university that I began to understand just how transformative the gospel is for everyone and everything around me. My time in the Christian Union was deeply formative in equipping me to tell people about Jesus and while being a part of that mission team, I got to see first hand how God lovingly uses weak people in His life-giving work. Excitingly I even had the privilege of seeing my friend, who had been investigating Jesus’ claims at CU events and was being relentlessly prayed for, become my brother in Christ.
I am thrilled therefore by God’s grace to become a Staff Worker, working with the Christian Unions at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Glasgow School of Art. Having worked alongside these CUs as a Relay Worker I have seen how beauty and ingenuity coexist with loneliness and ruthlessness in these universities, as students give everything to be “good enough”. I have also seen how CU members earnestly and honestly point their classmates to Jesus as the one who offers freedom from striving. With the Lord’s help I hope to continue in equipping and supporting the CUs in their mission to make Jesus known on campus.
However, I am useless alone! Therefore, one of the most joyful aspects of this role is having a team of supporters who can help in this huge mission through partnering in prayer and financial giving. This support is so appreciated by me and all the students who are following Jesus in the arts sector in Scotland. It would be wonderful to have you on board, and so please do let me know if you would like to support in any way!
Please give now to support Catherine’s vital work with Christian Unions. We can’t do this without you.
