Danik Cady

Danik will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2026.

Danik is doing Relay in Cardiff, supporting the Christian Unions in Cardiff Metropolitan University and Cardiff University.

Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.

Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.

Danik says...

Hello! I’m Danik, I’ve just finished studying Product Design at Cardiff Met and am staying on in Cardiff as a Relay Worker. I’m incredibly excited to be starting the Relay Programme, supporting the CUs in the city.

When I arrived at uni, I would have called myself a Christian but wasn’t fully living for Jesus and didn’t take faith seriously. Through a CU event I encountered the life-changing power of the gospel and as the years went on, I gained a zeal and passion for evangelism, to share this great news of Jesus with the people around me. In my time at the CU I’ve seen an immense amount of openness to the gospel on campus, and have seen students come to faith in Jesus and be baptised!

As I do Relay, it’ll be a great joy to be able to disciple students in the CU, to help grow their confidence in evangelism and to encourage them to live boldly for Jesus. I’m also looking forward to having the opportunity to dive deep into core biblical doctrines as part of the programme.

So as I do this year, I would love to invite you to partner with me in this mission to make Jesus known amongst students in Cardiff. Relay is a voluntary role, so I’ll be relying on donations to raise £10,000-£14,000 for living and ministry expenses. Your support would be greatly valued whether through prayer, giving, or both.

If you’d like to know more about what I’ll be doing, I’d love to get in touch!

Pray for Danik

Prayer is a vital part of supporting Danik’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Danik:

  • Pray for students who don't know Jesus yet, on Cardiff Met and Cardiff Uni campuses, that they would encounter Jesus for themselves and come to put their trust in Him.
  • Pray for the CUs in Cardiff that they would have an urgency and passion to boldly share the good news of Jesus with the people around them.
  • Pray that the CU would be centred on the core truths of the gospel and that that would flow into campus mission.

Partner with Danik

It costs on average £10,000–£14,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.

Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:

  • Encourage CU students in their faith in the Lord Jesus.
  • Give biblically-grounded answers to students exploring Christianity.
  • Support CUs as they seek to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
