Jack will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2026.
Jack is doing Relay in Coventry, supporting the Christian Union in the University of Warwick.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hey! My name is Jack and I will be a Relay Worker at the University of Warwick for this academic year.
Over the past three years, I have been studying Robotics and Embedded Systems Engineering at Aberystwyth University. Being a member of the Christian Union throughout this time has provided me with such a supportive group of friends and has allowed me to grow in faith, love and boldness to share the gospel. By becoming a Relay Worker, I hope to use my experience to support other students in the same way.
While I had been aware of the Relay Programme for a while, I never seriously considered applying until being approached by my Staff Worker. After going through the application process, I was encouraged by being asked to move to another region and can’t wait to meet so many new people and experience life at another university.
Another motivation is having the opportunity to work full-time for the gospel and growing in my own relationship with God. Throughout my time as a student, we have seen so many answers to prayer, so I would encourage you to spend time in prayer for me, the students of the University of Warwick and all students across the world. Any support through prayer, finances or just being there is greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or want to know more, feel free to get in touch!
