Lois will be starting work with UCCF as Relay Worker in August 2026.
Lois is doing Relay in Plymouth, supporting the Christian Union in Plymouth University.
Relay is a ten-month discipleship, training and mission programme run by UCCF, a charity which aims to give every student in Great Britain an opportunity to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ.
Relay Workers equip, resource and encourage student Christian Unions whilst being discipled and trained by a member of UCCF staff.
Hi, I'm Lois and I have just finished studying Marine Biology at Plymouth University!
I have been so blessed to have spent the last four years being involved in UPCU, so I am excited to be staying in Plymouth to serve the CU over the next year. Throughout my time at uni, I have had the opportunity to serve on committee and to spread the love and joy of Jesus across campus. We have the vision of 'knowing Jesus and making Him known', and Relay is a chance to deepen my faith while also sharing all that I am continuing to learn about God's goodness.
I am excited to continue to see the work that God is doing in Plymouth through the CU, and to support CU members in sharing the good news with their non-Christian friends. As a Relay Worker I will be studying the Word, helping out at CU events, and meeting individually with students to help them grow in their faith and be a witness to those around them.
As Relay is voluntary, I will be relying on the prayer and support of others. I would be deeply grateful if you would consider supporting me financially. I would also love it if you sign up to my prayer newsletter to keep updated about what’s going on at Plymouth CU!
Prayer is a vital part of supporting Lois’s work with Christian Unions. Here are some prayer points from Lois:
It costs on average £10,000–£14,000 to cover the living and ministry expenses of a Relay Worker.
Having a team of people who partner financially and in prayer with Relay Workers means that they can:
